Booking Terms & Conditions
FOR ALL PROPERTIES OWNED OR MANAGED BY ANDREA GREENSLADE.
Please read & understand the following terms and conditions. You, the client, clients, lead person will enter into a rental contract with the owner/property manager once a deposit has been paid and booking confirmation sent.
1. These Terms & Conditions must be read & understood by the client before making your booking for your requested dates.. By paying the deposit for your rental you have agreed to these Terms & Conditions and entered into a rental contract with the owner/property manager.
2. If a reservation is made the deposit must be received within 72 hours. If the deposit is not received the booking will be cancelled.
3. The deposit is 25% of the total cost of the rental price or £200 per week……..whichever is the higher amount must be paid. All deposits are strictly not returnable or transferable under any circumstances whatsoever.
4. The balance owing on the rental must be received no later than 12 weeks prior to arrival. It remains your responsibility to pay the balance by the due date. At the time of booking please make a note of when the balance is due as a reminder may not always be sent. Non-payment will cause your booking to be cancelled with the loss of all monies that have already been paid.
5. All payments are to be made by bank transfer.
6. Cancellations must be put in writing & sent by email at the earliest date possible. Cancellations made after your deposit has been paid will result in the loss of your deposit only. Cancellations made less than 12 weeks prior to your arrival will result in the loss of the full rental amount and all monies paid. No refunds will be given under any circumstances whatsoever.
7. Date changes to the rental are not permitted & any monies paid cannot be transferred to alternative dates or other properties unless agreed by the owner.
8. It is compulsory for all persons staying in the property to have adequate travel insurance. Please make sure insurance is purchased or in place when the booking is made. Please inform your insurance provider that you are booking a private property rental to make sure you have the correct policy. Your policy must provide adequate cover for all eventualities however caused, minor or extreme. The owner of the property will not be liable for any eventualities under any circumstances whatsoever which may result in the clients not being able to arrive at the property.
9. Bookings will not be accepted by stag or hen parties. Whilst the owner does not wish to discriminate against anyone the property is not deemed suitable for stag parties, hen parties, groups of young people or similar. Bookings will only be accepted at the owner's discretion.
10. All persons staying at the property must give their name and age to the owner. A copy of their passport is required to be sent by email prior to their arrival. This is Spanish law. Only persons named in the booking can stay in the property. An address, phone number, email address must also be provided. Any name changes to the booking may incur an administration fee.
11. All properties are non smoking. Smoking is permitted outside the property.
12. The swimming pool is used totally at your own risk. All children must be supervised at all times. All non swimmers must wear a buoyancy aid if in the pool or it’s surrounding area.
13. Check in time is 4pm unless agreed otherwise. Check out time is no later than 10am on your day of departure unless agreed otherwise. A late departure, if not agreed, may incur a fee.
14. The owner cannot be held responsible for any noise outside of the villa however caused. The law in Menorca states that all noise must be kept to a minimum between the hours of midnight and 7am.
15. At times, in Spain, you may experience interruptions or breakdowns in services such as water, electric, WiFi etc. The owner cannot be held responsible for any such instances as it is totally out of their control. Any disruptions will be rectified as soon as possible.
16. A security deposit is required to be paid before arrival. You will be informed of the amount that is due. This will be returned after your departure providing the property is left clean & tidy with all rubbish disposed of. If any major breakages have occurred, extra cleaning is required or there is any damage to the property the costs to rectify this may be deducted from your security deposit.
17. Strictly no pets allowed in any property.
18. We will do our best to fulfil any special requests but it cannot be guaranteed.
19. The owner will not be under any liability for any injury, death, inconvenience, damage, loss, accident, delay or additional expense how so ever caused, occasioned to or incurred by any client or any other person due to circumstances beyond their control or in the absence of negligence by them.
20. Should the property become unavailable for any reason outside of the owners control a voucher maybe offered that can be used to book the property on another date. The voucher will only be offered at the owners discretion and in the absence of any insurance payout to the clients.The cost of the rental must be paid in full, by the due date, for the above voucher to be offered. It will be worth no more than the rental amount the client has paid. If future chosen dates are priced higher than the worth of the voucher the extra must be paid by the client. There will be an expiry date on the voucher by which time a new booking must be made. There will also be dates specified as to when the new booking may take
place. The voucher can only be used by the person it was credited to and they must be named as the lead person in the original booking. It is not transferable to any other person. It cannot be redeemed in exchange for a refund and has no cash value.
21. At no time will the owner be liable to cover the costs of clients flights, other accommodation, car hire, parking, travel or any other expenses that the client may incur due to any circumstances whatsoever. The client has made a booking with the owner for accommodation only. Any other services booked by the clients are totally separate from their accommodation booking.
22. The owner reserves the right to cancel any booking at anytime if by reason of war, political unrest, strikes, unavailability of accommodation or otherwise they deem it essential to do so.
23. Any compulsory taxes will have to be paid by any person that is required to pay them by law. These taxes can change or be introduced at any time without any information being passed to the owner. Whilst the owner will do their best to inform any clients of any such taxes it will remain the clients obligation to pay these taxes if there is a legal requirement to do so no matter what the charge maybe.
24. As of 2016 the Balearic tourist tax was introduced and must be paid by any person aged 16 and over entering the Balearic Islands. The cost of the tax is variable and the owner will advise you of how much has to be paid. This tax will be collected by the owner.
25. The cost of water, electric and WiFi are all included in the cost of your rental. Bath, hand and tea towels along with bedding are also included in the rental price. The property will be cleaned on your arrival and departure. No maid service is provided whilst here. Clean bedding, towels etc are delivered on a weekly basis. Pool cleaning is also provided and included in your rental price. Beach towels are not provided.
26. All prices are for the rental of the property not per person. The properties can only accommodate up to the amount of people stated in the advert. In early and low season, being October through to May inclusive, some prices maybe given to accommodate under occupancy. If extra people are added to the booking or stay at the property there maybe an additional fee to pay for each extra person. For example if you book the property in May and state that just 2 people will be in the villa the owner may give you a price based on just 2 people sharing. If any other persons are added to the booking or sta at the property the owner must be informed and any additional cost must be paid.
27. At no time must the amount of persons in the property exceed the maximum occupancy. Babies, children and adults are all deemed to be occupants.
28. At no time can the property be sub let to any other persons. All persons must be named on the booking form. You will be asked for a lead name, this person must take full responsibility for the booking and be staying at the property.
29. The owner reserves the right to refuse access to any clients that do not abide by these terms and conditions. The owner has the right to ask any persons to leave the property should they deem it essential to do so. If this instance should occur no refund will be given.
30. Whilst every effort is made to describe the property accurately & correctly minor changes may occur.
